Cat Fayssoux was born and raised in North Carolina. At age two she began freestyle rapping, at age five she wrote her first song, and at age nine she wrote her first short story. This short story was selected to be read in front of 300 students (not including staff) at her elementary school and she has since written countless songs and stories including Purple Souls, first published in the Strangely Familiar literary magazine, her current trilogy Namesake, and her work in progress Dancing Leaf. Fayssoux enjoys indulging in many forms of art such as music, drawing, painting, and theatre, but writing has always been her go to. She enjoys nothing better than a hot cup of lotus tea, her dog at her feet, and her laptop on hand with some instrumental music playing in the background.
